Life Moves Quick, It’s Hard to Capture It All

I’ve been lucky enough to know Melissa for almost 24 years. We’re pretty much at the point where we practically call ourselves sisters. Roger and I have been friends for about 4 years and his sister and I are practically family. All that time sounds long, but in reality, I blinked and we ended up in 2026. Time only slips through my fingers faster each year.

Roger and Melissa in the time span of 10 months dated, got engaged, married, and became pregnant. I remember the day I sat with Melissa in a coffee shop and planted the seeds of the idea of Roger. It was only a matter of a weeks before they began dating and the clock started ticking. It’s interesting to me that over the years I’ve had conversations with both people about their future spouse, yet it wasn’t until spring of 2025 that the pieces started fitting together. Timing is everything.

I’ve had the honor of being able to photograph their engagement, wedding, and I look forward to their baby shower and newborn pictures. I’ve been learning more than ever over the past few years to enjoy every season of life. The good keeps me going, the bad teaches me something new, and the ugly… well is part of life and builds character. Every season of life has purpose in it and no part of it goes to waste as long as I’m intentional in it. There’s times where I look back and can’t remember much because I’ve spent too much time focused on the day to day routine and live life on autopilot.

Life moves quick and it’s hard to capture it all, but if I’m intentional enough, I have some incredible moments I can look back on and remember.
